Does Blimpie sponsor a blimp, and if not , why not ? Is there a difference between a blimp and a Zeppelin ? Has there ever been a great Blimp disaster....beside the one in Black Sunday ? Do blimps carry flotation devices ? Do blimps float ?

I have no idea why not, it seems like a perfect ad gimmick for them. YES! A blimp is basically a big balloon, a zeppelin is a Dirigible - it has a structure usually inside it. (And technically a Zeppelin can only be made by the Zeppelin company - Or Jimmy Page.) Several. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airship_accidents That includes blimps, Zeppelins, and a few miscellaneous other sorts of airships. Most of the recent ones involving blimps have led to no injuries. My favorite from the list.......... 4 May 2012: An Israeli spy blimp crashed when a crop duster struck the blimp's side. The crop duster pilot now works for a grading company which will remain unnamed. ![]() (Seriously, how oblivious does someone have to be to NOT see a blimp right where they're going to be flying a plane it's not like blimps are small or fast. ) Steve B |

If you have a favorite blimp, let's see it. This thread needs some gas.
