It's time for a bump, but I gotta say something first. As a PSA (public service announcement, not a TPG)…
For any of you looking to trade for either of my 1967 #128 Ed Spiezio error cards, I don't want to be rude, but please don't waste my time, okay? Please. You have to have substantial cards available for trade. It's as simple as that. Every time I bump this thread (EVERY SINGLE TIME), I get a new round of PM's from various people trying to get them off of me for nothing, assuming I have no clue what they're worth. Come on. It gets really frustrating and the funniest part is how everyone thinks they're so clever, but they do the exact same thing as everyone else: First, they will go out of their way to make a point of saying that they 'might be interested' in one or both of my Spiezios. They MIGHT be interested. It's obviously a tactic of pretending it's no big deal and that they'll be doing me a favor if they decide to trade with me. Second, (after I reply) they will list a bunch of commons from my need list and say they 'MAY' be willing to offer some of those cards for a Spiezio. SOME. A few 1971 commons in rough shape for a card that sells for hundreds of dollars the rare times it ever appears on ebay. Sure, sounds fair. I know, I know, get a real problem, Elm. If it helps, I'm sorta giggling as I post this, but I needed to get it off of my chest. For the rest of you E & V collectors, though, check out the thread and the beauties contained within and let's talk (just please don't do what I discussed above)...

If you would but a trade value beside each card I think it would help. I know I would be a lot more interested if I knew how you valued the cards I was interested in trading for.

Ben-- the increment between stupid and ridiculous is the key

Wow, talk about completely and utterly NOT understanding the point of my post. What you're saying has nothing to do with it. These people know full well the 'value' of the Spiezio cards--even if it's not posted beside them--and treat me like I'm some sort of ignoramus as they slyly think they can rip me off. They know exactly what they're doing and to me it's frickin' laughable!!!

And it's important to note that these are actual collectors I'm talking about. Perhaps I should've stated in the 'getting this off of my chest' segment of this thread that 9 out of 10 of the people who do the things I described here are obviously dealers. They take what are arguably the most valuable cards I have in this thread and try to get them off of me for nothing, so they can do a quick flip or hit the 'bay and make a tidy profit. Sorry if I sounded rude to you in my response before. Oof. It wasn't my intention.
