Some from 1957. The Bill and Bob postcard is multi-year, but it fit in here. This will be all for today. I'll post some more next week.

Beautiful collection. This may be a stupid question, but why the two rookies? Is one a variation? I have a number of duplicates in my collection but always curious as to how others approach a player collection.

Nice collection!

I think Swift Meats really shouldn't have been the company to do those put togethers.

Default Aaron

That is one nice collection of Aaron cards. For some reason I'm drawn to the odd-ball type of cards like the Spic and Span, Johnston Cookies, and the Bill and Bob postcard (never seen this one before...).

Thanks so much for sharing Robert!

Especially with the Johnston rookie card originating in Milwaukee and being far tougher than the '54 Topps!

Great cards,

Larry

Default 1968

1968 was a good year for cards, although somewhat expensive. There were four Topps versions. There were also two versions of each checklist (although I'm not sure about the Venezuelan). I just got back four other checklists back from PSA (not scanned), but they were all MISLABELED. Looks like someone's quality control was a little off. I am waiting for a response back from PSA. There is also my only BVG graded card - a checklist proof from Topps Archives. The last scan is of the backs of the four regular 1968 Aaron's - OPC, Topps, Milton Bradley, and Venezuelan.

Great cards,

Larry
Funny how this aspect, originating in Milwaukee, didn't dawn on me until you mentioned it. Shows you how sharp I am. Definitely adds a cool dynamic to the card.

BTW, great collection! Thanks for sharing.

I purchased both of them a long time ago and I don't have a lot of money tied up in either one. I never could decide which one to get rid of - one has a higher grade, but the other one looks better. So I just decided to keep them both.

Got finished early, so I decided to finish out the 50's. I know that there is a problem with the Hires with tab - the tab separated and slipped under the card after the card was graded.

Sorry about the scans of the Armour coins. My scanner does not like PSA's coin slab. Also, the first Fencebusters card is a white back.

I assume you have one of these? I don't think they are too hard to find. Unless i missed it, I didn't see it pictured.

Nice collection. If you decide to keep only one I would definitely keep the 2.5. Much better eye appeal.

A few more from '60. The Braves logo tattoo is not really an Aaron, but I thought it looked pretty good and still fits in.

Thanks for the reply. I don't blame you at all as they are both beautiful cards!

Nice collection! I especially like your Home Run Derby card - it sure looks much nicer than "Poor."

Agree that the SGC 2.5 looks MUCH better than the SGC 3.

Great collection ! I'm an Aaron collector too and thoroughly enjoyed viewing your cards. Thanks for sharing !

Here are the 2 Red Barn backs. Note the absence of the Kenosha Wisc address in the one on the right.

Also, I see the Crane Potato Chips disc is square. What is that?
