Boss Schmidt....absolutely, Cobb was even supposedly scared of him
Mike Donlin...great athelete that didn't mind mixing it up
Chick Gandil...Most all players were afraid of him, big and great with his fists.

Other than Cobb, have not really heard much about any of these other players. But, you did leave out Kid Elberfeld....He didn't back down from anybody...

Legend has it Boss Schmidt beat the Schmidt out of Cobb. As a catcher, he refused to wear shin guards and could pound nails into wood with his bare hands.

Reminds me of the "Brasky" skits from SNL years back.

Now I want a Schmidt card.

The Schmidt card has always been one of my favorites even before I put it in the Bad Boys subset Not only was he a legendary player it is a VERY nice looking card with a bright red background.
