Great year for the Mets, for baseball cards, lots of cool inserts

Heres a group of Willie McCovey cards..all deckle edge..some OPC, some Proofs, some..whatever..and a cool white letter McCovey

Anybody need these ?

A sad tale indeed for Wagner . He at one time sponsored a clothing line for which his advertising slogan was "get your glad rags from Daddy Wags"

Sad, but interesting article. IMO, with Wagner's 69 card, it looks like some minimal airbrushing was done to the hat as the uniform otherwise appears to be a 67 Indians uniform.....see the Duke Sims card below for comparison. In the late 60s, the odds are that most any image used by Topps was recycled.

Looks to me like the 69 Wagner is a touched up 67 Wagner picture...here is his 67 Topps card. Might need to edit the article...of which I really enjoyed. Sad to hear how his life went...reminded me of J.R. Richards...
