I collect some modern game used equipment--jerseys, pants, hats. I primarily pick up Yankees items and very few of them show any significant amount of wear. I cannot imagine, given the market for game used memorabilia, that many of these items are seeing that much use before they are pulled and sold. If you cut up any of my uniforms, I'd say maybe 5 of the 1000, or however many it is, cards you'd make out of it would actually have a piece of fabric on it that looks used. I'd imagine football is a bit of a different story given that a lot of those guys end up on the ground at some point.

I have searched and searched over the past few years looking for Game Used Memorabilia cards that show actual game use on the pieces of material, and found maybe four. Is it that rare? If so, then I have to wonder if most of the pieces are really from game used.
