Knowing he was a collector, I bet Carter was pleased with his 1980T. I like the 1981 and 1983 also...even the 1978.
And one thing I only now learned...the 1977T and 1977OPC use different pics. Was this true for other players as well, maybe the Canadian teams? ![]() ![]()

Darren what a great thread to start. Being that JB is my favorite player to collect I have to agree with you. Agree with Peter regarding is 71 card as well. A couple other cards I think that would fit his 10 year run would be his 71 TGM card and the 74 Deckle. Having him in action swinging in the TGM qualifies in my book as well as having a standard batting pose.

Reggie has to be included. His 1969, 1970, 1974, and 1978 Topps cards are definitely Cardboard HOF worthy.

There are several photo changes in the 1977 OPC set, mainly the two canadian teams and players that were traded. There are even a few players in the 1977 OPC set that weren't in the 1977 Topps set.
