Had these oddball Ruth cards for a while, but recently got them holdered.

Is that a football that the right handed Babe Ruth is throwing? And why does he have a block of wood in his glove?

Yea, I don't think the quality control in that set was the best. The 1928 Sociedade set looks much better where they used actual photos.
