I was interested in the two Tango egg cards but ended up not bidding. One, I really had no idea how to properly value the cards and two, I have a hard time starting another set when I have yet to finish the 1954 Red Heart set.
I was interested in hearing if $720 (comm included) is a good deal for the two cards? http://www.bestofneworleans.com/blog...ll-close-oct-5 Thanks. |

Nada. But was happy to go to the White Plains show today and pick up a nice Gehrig card. Didn't pay a 20% premium either.

I was lucky enough to win the Dummy Taylor lot of cards including (2) C46 Imperials, E91A Caramel, Fan Craze, and a few Souvenir Post Cards.
I was shut out on 4 others... |

How was the show? Wanted to go, but it wasn't in the cards with the Mets game on Friday night and birthday parties to attend all weekend.

I appreciate the reply. From my research, I knew the Beschler was the most commonly found. I had no knowledge has to how many specimens have graded at the 7 and 8 level. The cards are nice looking.

No idea what your green Cobb looks like but you can take the one last night out of the equation for relative sales. No other 5 or 6 will come close to that one for a long, long time if ever. Congrats on the Matty, a superb card.

I think this was an impulse purchase to try to just win "something." Never a great strategy, but still happy to pick up a CJ.

Sam nice pick up of the CJ Lajoie! and Blair that jersey if freikin awesome! You gotta take some pictures when you put it on.
Does anyone know who won the A.J. Reach tin advertising sign? I thought it was the one of the coolest items in the whole shebang. And at $45k one of the priciest! I was able to finish my '14 CJ set by locking down the JJ! and decided to upgrade my favorite all-time card to this PSA 5 Cobb. Won some upgrades to my CJ set and a nice T206 Cobb Red and #181 Goudey Ruth. My favorite item of the night though was the type I photo of Tris Speaker with his trademark sneer.

Same $1,000 charge for shipping to UK. I imagine that it is a placeholder -- as even if there are customs / other issues to solve for, it likely is not $1,000 precisely |

Finally got my Cicotte E125...and a real nice one at that!
Also won a '52 home uniform worn by Harry Taylor. From what I can gather, he would have worn this uniform when he pitched a complete game win over Philly in April of '52. Shortly after that he was out of the bigs. I have no idea about uniform collecting, but this one is my size, and I plan to wear it when the time is right! And the price seemed fair to me too.
