I would add Rule #3824 below
3824. A complete list of these rules must be posted with every listing and response to assure that all parties are aware of the rules. Maybe a little "I agree" button could be added as well.

I agree with all of the above posters that an offer to buy takes precedence over any ongoing negotiation. This situation has happened to me a couple of times as somebody making an (generally unreasonable lowball) offer has been upset that I sold the card to another buyer who wanted it at my full asking price. I'm not sure what they expect the seller to do...say "No thanks, I'm not going to sell to you at my listed price because there's another guy who maybe wants to buy it for less and maybe I'll hear back from him in 2-3 days...or never." Just kind of common sense, I think.
