Prior to WWII, the BOWMAN GUM Company marketed their Sports and Non-Sports cards (1938 - 1942) with the Trademark....GUM, Inc.

When Bowman introduced their 1st BB card set after WWII, they continued the "PLAY BALL" Trademark on their wax-pack wrapper.

1948 Bowman 1-cent wrapper

WOW, BobFreedman...that Colgan's ad sure doesn't suck!

p.s. - plenty of great 'eye candy' in this thread from all.

Just picked up this really cool match striker (?). I've never seen another, so was happy to add it to the collection. It's about 10 inches in length, 5 inches wide, and 4 inches tall.

Very nice Jon. I have one as well. These are the only two I have ever seen.

Kelly is only part of an advertising piece, but I still dig him. (Poster is a cheap reproduction.)

Thanks, I found it at the 2012 NSCC in Baltimore. I'll be in AC this week, looking for more goodies.
