Very nice Ted. That's a classic.....

Bob, the colors and print on your Old Gold ad resembles the printing found on 33 Goudeys. Love it..........

Default 1944 World Series Trade Card ? for "Sellinger Display Service"

... This is not a postcard ; it's the size and thickness but the back is blank. The guy in the suit interviewing Art "Happy" Felsch appears to be Minneapolis Millers/St. Paul Saints radio announcer Jerry Harrington , which makes sense because after all it's the World Series and there's a war on and the big networks filled the press box with microphones and live feeds to every market possible. And that voice sold a lot of Wheaties to a lot of midwestern kids gathered around their radios listening to 'the ballgame'..

...Charlie Sheen played Felsch in "Eight Men Out".....good flick.

Not sure if these belong here but thought I'd share them and piggy back on Ted's creamy Root Beer sign.

Hey Dean

Picked up several Tobacco related 100-year old "goodies" at the HOF weekend Cooperstown Show a week ago.

I'll start with this Egyptienne Cigarette pack.

B18 flannels were issued wrapped around Cigarette packs. Shown here is one of the brands which the B18's were associated with.

I will display some of the other items in the following posts here.

Default There's a neat trade card

for the Gold Coin brand where one could theoretically exchange coupons for a house. I put the GC tin on my list but decided the condition and tangent not compelling enough. Oddly it was also only the second one I've seen! Those that know me are aware of my concentration on Ginter. Here's a neat graduated set of ashtrays for the gold dollar brand. After all I'm 90% a nonsports guy....

Default Baseball Card Advertisement

This used to belong to Topps Art Director Woody Gelman. I love the advertising pieces but I am especially fond of vintage baseball card advertising pieces
