I found a 1200 lb used, jewelers safe, at a local safe store. It rocks. It was around a grand delivered (approx 15 yrs ago)....

FWIW, if you can find used, that's the way to go. A lot of people start off with a smaller safe and upgrade (trade-in) as they accumulate more stuff, so used safes aren't that hard to find. |
