It's an interesting observation but I am not sure the marks have to do with the size of that space at bottom. I think I have seen the marks on all sizes of caramels (even at bottom)....would need to do some research to conclude it...
I sort of hate to show this one for the one million and twenty second time, but has registration marks and pretty big borders especially at bottom, if this is what you are alluding to? Quote:

I have shown it way too often. I need to get another card .....
![]() btw, I believe this one has a top, tiny registration mark but neither one on the card bothers me. I actually kind of like them!!
