I just picked up #223 in my signed 1953 Topps set (Bobo Newsom). My other signed set project, which has been mothballed for now, is a 2007 Dunkin Donuts PawSox set. The sets were given out as a promotion, and I've never seen them signed other than the ones I have. I was able to get to 24/30 TTM, and added Jon Lester about 2 years ago through a Steiner signing. I don't think I'll be able to complete it because infielder Ed Rogers has evidently retired back to his native Dominican Republic, and I don't have a way to get in touch with him there.

Might was well update mine:

The 1953 Topps project is up to 251. I’ve picked up all of the low hanging fruit by now; the remaining ones I need are either difficult, expensive, or both. I’ve confirmed through PSA/DNA’s population report that examples of each exist, though there are about half a dozen that I have never seen pictures of, let alone come up for sale. Beyond those, there are another eight or so that I’ve seen in the collections of others, but never on the market.

My PawSox project remains on the back burner; I can probably add Kevin Cash next spring, but the others (Jacoby Ellsbury, Brandon Moss, George Kottaras and Ed Rogers) don’t sign through the mail and I haven’t seen any signings with them in ages, so I’ve hit a wall there.

Although it won't fit into my binder, with this high number Sam McDowell I thee complete my 1962 master set. Definitely need a bunch of upgrades (recently discovered my Aaron has a pen mark on back, etc.), but all the cardboard fish are now in the boat...

I pulled the PawSox project out of mothballs to pick up George Kottaras at a recent signing. He was my first addition in over seven years. Of the remaining ones I need, I can probably get Kevin Cash the easiest; Ed Rogers is unlikely, and I have not seen a signing recently with Brandon Moss or Jacoby Ellsbury.

Have you tried PastPros for trying to get that elusive autograph. If you contact them and let them know you are interested in them, they have a great network in trying to get ahold of folks in the Caribbean to track them down. Just a thought!!

I am roughly 70% complete for my 1966 O-pee-chee baseball set. Extremely tough as I am trying to achieve the set in Ex/Mt or higher. Thankfully it is only 196 cards but still has the stars.....Mantle, Mays, Palmer RC, etc.

I am down to 10 cards to complete my mid grade 1952 Topps set. All the cards are recently graded examples after PSA changed their grading standards. Is it me or is a 4 the go to grade from PSA on vintage cards these days?

I was able to cross six cards off my '53 Topps set while at the Chantilly show and also add this '54B Mays to my working set. Now just two to go on the '54B.
