Looking at what the Fatima seems to go for, I could get a low grade one for $200-300. I'd prefer to spend around that or less, but pretty much anything less than or around $750 is my budget.

Very true. But he's a lot like Pete Rose in my eyes. Should be a HoFer.

Another low budget possibility is the T202 Lord Catches his Man card, which this board was instrumental in discovering and determining that the middle action panel pictures Joe Jackson sliding. A low condition one just ended on ebay for $110.00

Another option is an M101-2, not a card but a larger news supplement from a popular and well respected set. You can get one of those in pretty decent shape for around your stated budget limit. Pretty early in Shoeless Joe's career too.

Look at low to midgrade National Game or Tom Barker or Polo Grounds.

You have my vote for the 1913 Cleveland Indians Fatima card. It gets you both Jackson and Lajoie in an actual photographic image (although a magnifying glass might be necessary to fully appreciate their facial features), and will be relatively hard to find in VG-Ex or better, which might stretch your budget a bit in that grade. I had one, sold it, and am looking to acquire a nice one to take its place.
