I'm 22, so I never had the chance to buy packs and pull these cards for cheap.

...But I do enjoy sharing these articles with my dad to make him feel like crap.

If you continually call "it's the top of the market" for a decade or more you will no doubt eventually be right. And it will probably be small solace as lots of people made lots of money while you were on the sidelines bemoaning the imminent "top of the market".

My view has always been to buy what I want and can afford, regardless of impending financial ramifications. For me, collecting is a hobby. I expect that my wife will be selling my collection upon my timely demise (67) and whatever it brings, so be it.

+1. I buy low- "collector grade" stuff for the most part and most of the high end price moves make no difference to me. It's interesting and head scratching to watch from afar.
