It could be a transition card. I have a Campos back star and also a card with partial black in the star. Doubt anyone would call it a variation but transition cards or variant cards (different than the common version of the card) are still neat to see and collect ( for me anyway)

I say no way. I have abut 8-10 Bakep and they are much more noticeable than that. It is a stupid variation but i have been looking for it for 30 years. you still can find them in commons every now and then. Many people figure it to be a literal p as opposed to a print smudge that makes it look like a p.
