| 1938 signed Vander Meer Goldsmith ball with provenance!

I just picked up this terrific vintage signed Vandy Goldsmith ball that originates from his historic 1938 season in which he pitched consecutive back-to-back no-hitters. The provenance that accompanies it and the boldness of signature really set it apart as being exceptional and a perfect fit for my personal collection. The fact that Goldsmith's base of operations was in Cincinnati is an additional bonus. Many thanks to net54's Chris Gamble for offering it to me. Friendships are what make the collecting hobby special and fun. Last edited by Scott Garner; 11-15-2016 at 05:02 AM. |

Rob, very nice cdv! I was going to bid on that lot just because of this one. It reminds me of some of the player outfits and stances in the 1865 Creighton woodcut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
