Default 1966 Topps...

...Funny Rings. Okay, okay... this is really a Football card question, but nobody looks at the FB card threads. Gotta be someone on the Baseball card side that knows the answer to this and will respond. The funny ring cards that were inserted into 1966 Topps Football cards packs (the rings; not the checklist)... are those cards significantly smaller than the standard sized cards? I would very much appreciate an answer before administrators bump me to the Football Forum (can't get an answer - nobody looks there).

They are the same width as the 1966 Football cards but 1/8" shorter. I just measured mine

The Rat Patrol rings from the same year are also 1/8" short.

Thank you very much. I thought that I might have purchased trimmed cards (though they don't look trimmed).

Interesting... Didn't know there were Rat Patrol rings. Is there any difference between the FB and RP rings?

They use the same design, RP rings show military insignia. There's a set of OPC NHL Rings from 1973 as well that cop the design as, although I think the set count on that is a little less than 24.
