E90-1 Joe Jackson. My four year-old could do a better illustration.

I hate T205s. They are just ugly. So are T204 Ramlys. I have zero interest in owning any of each. I actually bought 1 of each just to make sure they really are as ugly as the pictures show, and they are - perhaps uglier. So if anyone wants a T205 John McGraw or a T204 common (can't even remember who its is), let me know.
Indeed. That's one fugly card. Last edited by honus94566; 12-05-2016 at 08:41 PM. |

Strip cards. All of them. I don't even know their Burdick classification because I can't devote neuron connections to them.

e91c, I find both T205 and T204 when high grade to be among the most beautiful cards ever. goes to show one man gathers what another man spills.

Hands down the 1921 W9316 set. Alas, I have sold all my examples. I'm certainly not losing sleep over not owning one any more...

The 515-1 Strips. It's a tight race for the ugliest Ruth out there but this one just narrows out the W512.
Yes the 1943 MP & Co. R302-1 are completely hideous, but admitting I won't buy one they have a little Menko kitsch to them. The general disdain for the 38' Big Heads I don't get. The cartoon versions are one of my favorites (and hard as hell to find in decent condition) and I like the regular version too. I think they are a great representation of the transition of cards from something for adults in cigarettes to the new marketing to kids. If I was a 8 year old kid in 1938 I would have thought these were amazing. I consider these one of the first sets designed fully for children vs. adult consumers. Something we need more of today.

IMO Big Heads don't totally suck!!!...there's a (strange) uniqueness to them, plus a certain scarcity level
involved (in GREAT condition anyway) but...multiple strip cards are mucho fugglier IMO... JMO, of course. |
