Is it safe to mail off your cards to grading services (PSA, Beckett)? What is the risk, other than that involving US Post Office, which is a story in itself.

As safe as mailing anything else, just make sure they are insured. There is a risk as stuff does happen but it is rare.

...You might want to wait out the holiday traffic ; and if you're as paranoid as most of us , require a signature on the other end......super-safe secure packaging goes without saying....it's 99.9% problem-free....let us know when you get them back....
