I have a US Army WWII duffel bag, stamped with a soldiers name, that is virtually the same thing, with the eyelets. I think the Dodgers used this as a general duffel bag that could be used to store and transport just about anything - clothes, equipment, gear, etc..

I'm hoping the 14-39-42 are player numbers. That would be insane. |

I'm not sure what they were used for . They are heavy duty so you really could carry anything . I was hoping a photo would surface with these pictured to solve the mystery Matt

| Maybe.... Quote:
Dazzy is the only Dodger player with the initials DV. Could the 3 numbers be some sort of measurement for his uniform sizes etc...? Who knows! That would be very cool though! Peace, Mike Last edited by vthobby; 12-22-2016 at 11:06 AM. |

I thought that, too.....except we don't have a 14th month with 39 days (that I'm aware of). It was a joke haha. Can't put one by you! Last edited by Bpm0014; 12-22-2016 at 12:51 PM. |
