Default VINTAGE 1916 - 1917 NEW YORK GIANTS BASEBALL Ticket Stub GAME 37 (LETTER D)

VINTAGE 1916 NEW YORK GIANTS BASEBALL ticket stub

Ticket Stub Home GAME 37 LETTER D

year is BASED on the Letter D which was credited to 1916
the reason being

I have seen NY Giants Home Game tickets with Letter F hand dated with 1917 meaningless game and a Letter E which hand written scores on

attributed to 1917, so I am assuming theis being a Letter D is for 1916
the President is Harry N. Hempstead Harry N. Hempstead

his time as President was 1912 -1918 the add on back was seen on 1916 1917 1918

tickets

I feel very strongly ticket is from 1916

in 1916 Game 37 the 37th scheduled game which co insides

with the Game number printed on ticket which were printed before season began

(including rain outs ) so not the 37th Game played was on July 4th

Giants v Brooklyn Dodgers Game 2 of a Double header where two games were played and a ticket would have been needed for both games Game 37 was the late Game

"19160704","1","Tue","BRO","NL",73,"NY1","NL",74,"D","","" 36 scheduled d/h

"19160704","2","Tue","BRO","NL",74,"NY1","NL",75,"D","","" 37

see safe link for Box score

in Game 2 Dodgers beat the Giants 6-2

see safe link for Box score

ticket has ceases and wrinkles but no paper loss or pin holes

if any ticket collector dis agrees with my findings I would greatly appreciate

any conclusive info that the Letter D is not 1916

David, we must've been sitting together at this game in a previous life!!

I bought this as a 1917 ticket. Was there a Midland Resort ad on the back of 1916 tickets??

David was not at that game .
He got the stub from me on the bay.
I was just going to post a picture of it on this thread and saw David's post.

Phil & David,
Your Giants ticket is certainly from the year 1916.
Here are photos of a 1914 Giants ticket that features the letter "B" and is hand dated August 10, 1914 in vintage ink. It does have the Midland Beach Resort advertising on the verso. I have owned this ticket for over 25 years.
I hope this helps.
Happy New Year!
