Tried the link as seen in the OP and the website comes up for me as well. Perhaps the OP originally tried 'haul' instead of 'hauls' when entering in the website address.

Sure enough the site was switched this morning, but now it's back to Peter's control again. Perhaps he was able to pay his bill and have it redirected. I assure you, this morning it was taken over by another company. |

Maybe he read here that his site ownership had lapsed?

Domain providers provide a large window for domain reclamation. Just because it expires doesn't mean you lost it. You can contact your registrar and typically they will give you a 45 day window which you can simply renew it at normal cost, but even if the name goes back to ICAN, you can pay a reclamation fee to have it returned back to you, within a longer window, perhaps a total of 90 days or up until the name is officially released.
In that time frame the registrar typically puts up things on your domain to harvest money from your existing traffic. It looks like the registration is on 1/7 so likely expired, and then renewed, and typically it take 24 to 48 hours for the site DNS to be put back to your web content rather than the registrars advertisement. Hope that clears it up. |

From his main page:
"The services of Hauls of Shame and Peter J. Nash as a consultant and expert are available to collectors, auction houses, institutions, legal representatives and law enforcement.** To inquire about details contact us at:info@haulsofshame.com" How could law enforcement possibly take him seriously as an expert or consultant?? As shown by the posted documents, it appears that law enforcement takes him very seriously.

Several years ago I read that microsoft.com had actually lapsed at some point previously. Some dedicated gentleman then bought the domain name back, and gave it to Microsoft. And he claimed Microsoft gave him nothing, not even a "Thank You".

Peter Nash is like Darth Vadar. He had some early abilit˙ and skills as he was educated by wise people. He then thought he was smarter and knew more than anyone else in the hobby. No doubt some of the articles made for a good read, but the twisted facts and his filling in the blanks with mis truths is what made his website a sham.
Plus, he had a couple of crownies known as "Ghost Writers" help him write up articles. I think some of those ghost writers used to be regular board members a few years past too! It was kinda of easy to spot the bias reporting of their theme or tone of an article was to make a couple of people/companies look bad. One clue when reading Peter Nash's or his ghost writers rubbish is see how they pump up other people in the same article. 1 + 1 equals the evil empire! Peter Nash and all his accomplices known as ghost writers can rot in jail. While they rot in jail, I'd be happy to subscribe to their jail house blog. |
