Thought board members might like to check out this enclosed link with telegram referencing Jackson as well as other major leaguers during the war. The pictured telegram talks about the team and mentions Mr Wagner and I think Lefty Williams. Also very interesting is that Joe and most likely his wife cut out and placed the newspaper cartoon about owner Comisky`s attitude towards players in the "industrial leagues".
