They are old. I have seen some sellers claim that they were given out at the 1939 celebration at Cooperstown. I have seen some of them that are very worn so I believe this is a good possibility that they are from that time period.

1939 Cooperstown Souvenir Token?
Great info, thanks Dan and Tom. Makes sense... Landis' words couldn't be quoted on a coin that was handed out the same day as his speech!
