| Standard Size Semis (Toploaders) fit Most Sets

While the '52-'56 Topps issues are slightly larger than what became standard in 1957, those earlier cards (see below) will fit in standard sized semis just fine. The '53-'55 Bowman issues will also fit. Earlier Bowman are smaller and will fit with more room to spare. IMO, It is best to have the card within a flexible sleeve within the semi, but it may be too snug to do that with the '52-'56 Topps issues. That's just the way I store them...others may have different ideas. 1956 Dale Mitchell.jpg

Ultra Pro makes vintage toploaders and sleeves that are slightly larger and specifically made for 52-56 Topps/54-55 Bowman cards. They work great.

They currently reside in what size loaders I purchased 25-30 yrs ago, but they currently aren't in sleeves. I tried some sleeves with my Mantle and Mays cards in my old holders but they are too wide to fit in my old holders. I cut the sides out of them, (before I purchased the proper ones) as you can see in my pics. http://www.ultrapro.com/product_info...oducts_id=1413 https://www.amazon.ca/Ultra-Pro-Vint.../dp/B001OOUTCK

That's the first time I've ever seen that 1956 Dale Mitchell card, and something immediately popped out at me. The Scooter is a lefty!! So here's what the background image 'should' have looked like… 1956dalemitchell.jpg
