I asked him what provenance he has to back up his claim that the calendar company inserted the Ruth photo and not some joe blow who wanted to dramatically increase the value of an ordinary calendar. His reply to me was that the back stamp on the Ruth photo proved it. I googled the name on the back stamp and there is nothing out there except a website with another photo of Ruth with the same stamp.

Everybody go offer him $2 for it. I just did. He'll likely get the point and know it's the "net54 bunch".

I reported this item to ebay as being a hazardous material.


The item in the listing is identified as a possible danger to health, safety, or property while being transported.

The thermometer contains mercury, which cannot be shipped through the mail.

We will see what happens.

I just asked him if it was a fake like the last one he sold with the glued on photo. I hate scam artists that screw with collectors.
