Personally, I wouldn't be happy looking at a low grade Green Cobb with creases for $2,000. I doubt if you can get a presentable Ruth for that price either.
Hopefully the price on Cobb cards may drop, or at least level off from recent pricing. I sold my 2.5 graded Green Portrait last year for $1,800 and I still regret it. At this time, I would look at the other players on your list and put my money into the nicest looking example that I could find. Maybe even buy a couple of nice cards for the price. Can't go wrong with a nice Matty, and I love the Speaker rookie. Best of luck, Joe
