1939 New York Worlds Fair
The 1939 Worlds Fair patch was in fact worn by all three New York teams and this is easy enough to confirm through other period images that can be dated to 1938. These include the 1938 All Star as well the 1938 World Series. dated images from the Sporting News and contemporary newspapers as well.
Other examples include Babe Ruth with the Dodgers in 1938 (only one year). In 1939 (some teams as early as spring training), you will see the Baseball Centennial patch. Dave Grob
