In light of the price inflation recently in Exhibits, I was floored to get this for $840 (all in). Ruth's final Exhibits card.

I picked up my first boxing cards. Not sure if it was a good price or not, but happy to get a complete set of 1910 E76 American Caramel Prize Fighters.

Default It's good to be back in the game.

I had lost my entire collection in '07 and '08 with a divorce. It's good to start rebuilding.

+1. Ha! Know the Feeling and from the same time period. Maybe our Ex's knew each other.

Anytime I got a package in she thought it was cool to go out and shop using the same budget. Glad I can rebuild as you are Aaron.

Reminds me of when I was the winning bidder on the '39 V351 Ted Williams in a PWCC auction awhile back--the wife thought it was cool to spend about the same amount painting the interior of the house a wicked shade of yellow-gold. I told her we could recoup some bucks by renting it out as a brothel during the day, when we were both working!

Best wishes,

Larry

As Steve said in another thread. I thought the exhibit prices were not as strong as we have seen. I won the 25 Ruth Exhibit pictured below which is actually the more rarer 1926 version mis labeled. Plus, the 1939 Saluatation near set was a value which included the single print of Gehrig seen below. Not pictured were the 1962 Stat back complete sets I shockingly won. The red backs are extremely scarce compared to the black stats. The rest I'm sure y'all know.

Aaron, so glad you have resurfaced and happy to see you are still a John Honus Hans man. Be great to catch up at the National in your backyard and swap lies. Promise I will tell you how I hid my cards before my divorce in Tierra del Fuego and lived to tell the story. Managed to pick up the 1921 Exhibit of Ruth and the E95 anomaly card of Plank. Always liked the weird stuff. All the best, John

Thanks. Not really too focused nowadays. Loved the photo quality and thought it went cheap for what it is. And I lost out on several other lots I wanted, but not wanted at the levels they went to. Another great REA auction. Many more auctions on the horizon....

Aaron.........Good to see your name again and that you're back in..........

I picked up a couple lots.........1961 Post Set with 88 duplicates towards a master box/sheet set and a lot of (3) 1954 Bowman Sample sheets..........couldn't find my way to win a couple Allen Ginter nonsports sets....N15 Generals and the large Birds of America. Strong prices on the nonsports A&G stuff......congrats to all......some beauties here....especially that Anson N162 AJ...........

I have been chasing an intact T4 for 20 years - very happy to finally add one to the collection.
