While I'm not a Reds collector I really enjoy viewing all these great items. Especially like the Reds flag and banner and some of the smaller items like the Rose JDM postcard. Of course it's hard to beat the GU items!

Last week I gave a talk at the Newport, Kentucky (directly across the Ohio River from the Reds Stadium) library about early baseball in Northern Kentucky. A guy who I had previously met at one of my book signings came and gave me two pieces of Crosley Field as a gift - a brick and a piece of tile! I'm a big fan of the 1930's Reds and these two pieces now have an honored spot on one of the shelves in my studio, along side a Vander Meer signed ball.Great thread, let's keep it going! |
