He probably just saw the too-good-to-be-true price and bought it without even seeing a scan. Kind of shady to be told cards are fake and then sell them later without a scan. If there's a chance they are fakes, you should definitely post a scan (and probably not try to sell them). Kind of ironic that a guy who is trying to sell a $10 t206 beater for $600 on the BST bought a $1 fake e94 for $650 on the BST. Hope he gets his money back of course.

The reaction to this has been less than what I would have thought. I can't imagine having this type of behaviour on a board I am responsible for and doing nothing about it. The OP is out of here......If he wants to come back and apologize for this idiocy, then we'll see. Until then I don't think we need this on our board.
Add that to the fact of a board registration I received yesterday which was sort of ironic. It was for a John Rodriquez. What do you know, a coincidence of this OPs last name? Since the OP has repeatedly asked me when he would get banned I thought something might be up. So I pick up the phone and call John. A guy answers., I ask for Anthony (the OPs name). The guy hesitates a bit and says he isn't there. I ask for John *(whose registration this is). The guy hesitates again and tells me he isn't there either, LMAO. He told me his name was Manuel. I said, ugh.....and hung up. What are the chances of that not being connected? .

I think there aren't as many eyes on this because of the innocuous thread title. If people realized what was actually going on they'd all be out with their popcorn.

I could tell the OP was a scammer just by the cards he posted in the post-war B/S/T. Here's a Maris with a corner crease and other wear he calls near mint/mint:

I don't think he is an out and out scammer, he always struck me as someone who didn't really know much about cards and wasn't willing to learn. I believe that he wanted so badly to fit into the clique of the pre-war crowd, but didn't realize that he would never have the resources to fit in there. I was looking at some of his items for sale and noticed that he wanted $17 for a 1979 Topps Reggie Jackson described as very good-excellent with no scan. The only way that card could be worth any where near that is if it is in a PSA 9 or 10 slab. I am guessing that he got taken in by a scammer on those two Ty Cobb cards, and rather than eat the two bogus cards and chalk it up to experience after being told by several people here that they were fake, he stubbornly ignored them and believed what he wanted to anyway despite the contrary evidence.
