What do you collect?

I collect mainly 52 Topps cards but swayed early when I joined the site and had purchased other cards along the way.

My main focus now is collecting 52 Topps, but I would also like to add some pre-war, namely a Ruth of some sort, a Gehrig, etc.

I am currently in a dilemma. I have always loved the 56 Topps Mantle and I have the opportunity to purchase one for a fair price (about $600 CDN) but a part of me says spend that money on more 52's.

I need to let the seller know soon, if it's not too late already, but for the life of me, I can't seem to make up my mind?

Dale, Mantle is over rated and overpriced. Save up a little more and get a beater 52 Topps Eddie Mathews.

I'm going very slowly this year due to some setbacks , but.............

Here are the sets I'm actively albeit slowly working to complete :

51 bowman football: need 1 card
t205 : need 17 commons , 11 sp, 1 ML not going for any variations on this set.
two mid-1990's autographed set; about 60% on both

Also have the following on hold: these are more or less in limbo and not sure which direction they'll take in the coming months:

t206 set: upgrade with more interesting backs
early candy cards (e90-1, e92, etc and their image-sharing brethren) unique poses, varying backs
topps/bowman HOFer run 1948-1980
pre-war hofer type card set - going for 100 types, at least one card of all hall of famers, to fill out an antique apothecary type cabinet I bought a couple years ago.
