Since we are all humans, even us cataloguers make mistakes from time to time. I'm still looking for the rumored to exist (I will wager it does not), 1959 Topps Bill White #359 without the "Traded to St. Louis" line on the back.

The legend goes is Larry Fritsch claimed to have one way back in the day.

if one exists, it would have surfaced when the Bill White 1959 RC had a nice run when he was named NL President.

But I bet there is something out there which says that variation exists.

Just an example of what can go wrong in cataloguing
