No, PSA will provide a numerical grade on the vertical panels. I have a PSA 8 for the 1969 vertical panel with Bench, Clemente, and Banks. The reason some panels only get an authentic grade is when the panel does not have a white border. The 1974 stamp panels are the worst for this as most all of them are missing at least one of the borders. Horrible cuts.

probably take 10 years but eventually psa will listen to the people who know
the up and down are not perforated on the sides
if you find an unopened pack u will see the up and down is inside

I have 23 different horizontal panels and yes they all match the SCD checklist.
I have 18 different vertical panels but have never seen a checklist for them so not sure how many different ones there are.
Anyone how many different verticals there are?

Default 2 different methods of distribution

My understanding is the vertical panels 2 across by 6 down were released as a separate issue in their own packs. The horizontal panels 6 across by 2 down were issued as an insert in packs of 1969 topps cards (not sure which series)

There were no stamps inserted in Topps packs. They were a stand alone issue. The deckle edge cards and decals were the only inserts in packs.

If it is correct that the 1969 Topps stamp sheets were only available from the stand alone packs that only contained vertical sheets, where did the more common horizontal stamp sheets come from?

I have gone over the 20 sheets I have and they look like a complete set. As a checklist these are the 20 sheets with the upper left player identified. Anybody have any other vertical strips beside these?
