Amazing! congrats.
One of those Ty Cobb backs kinda belongs in your collection, Jamie, and that's a beautiful example (back included). Last edited by CW; 09-14-2017 at 04:58 PM. |

I'm just in awe of what I am looking at. Absolutely fantastic. This would be HOF worthy if it were just a common player, but Cobb? Just... wow.

Congrats Jamie! Unreal pickup!
For anyone who hasn't read it, I interviewed Jamie for an article about his Cobb run back in February. It was a lot of fun to learn more about how he put the collection together. http://www.thatt206life.com/2017/02/02/the-greatest-t206-back-run-ever-assembled-ty-cobb-red-background-portrait/

Incredible run. Threads like this should be on an automatic bump timer so it remains on the first page for a year or so for any and all newcomers to enjoy.

Jamie, I just couldn't resist checking the pop reports - I see that there are three T214 Victory - Cobbs in the combined reports (hopefully, none are crossovers), which gives me confidence that you will obtain one. And, hopefully, you already know where one or more of them reside.

Is there a known T206 red Cobb with an F. Scott Fitzgerald back stamp? Wish me luck at auction, gang. I don't even know which cards to go for.

Not a T206, but, seller notwithstanding, I thought this was not a bad buy. Perfect grade, interesting backstory. I thought it would go for more.

In a day when mid grade 48 Leaf Robinsons are selling for $20K, 50K for that card seemed reasonable.
