agreed...definitely a cool piece that has some value...albeit a small % of the signs value.

I have no earthly idea...I'm gonna put it on Ebay for .99 cents and let the market determine the value....I found it in an old shoebox I was cleaning out. Probably came in a lot I bought around 15 years ago from Hunt Auctions.

I could be wrong, but I don't think this was originally cut from an Old Gold display. The originals are large oversized tri-folds, with this cut appearing much smaller. I'm not sure if smaller examples of the display were produced, but considering this piece is only about 1/3 larger than a card.... it seems way too small.

I'm not sure either. I see the fold at the leg, which is a good sign for it being the right piece, but I don't see the fold at the waist, which is indicative of it being correct.

If you start at .99 and don't declare exactly what it is you should do fine. I don't think I would offer a guarantee if selling but would be very transparent in not knowing what it is, exactly.

Brent has a good point. And we're comparing the colour area left around the cut-out -- the salmon colour of the Old Gold lettering in the sign
appears as one would expect just above the bat handle in the cut-out, and the space between Babe's wrists is black in both sign and cut-out. But the colour beyond the D in "Old" is black in the sign, but appears to be that pale teal (again, the line just above the middle of the bat) in the cut-out.
