Congrats, Jason! I picked up a few on the ones that came up on ebay starting at .99 too. Not every day (or year ... or decade) that these appear with a low starting bid.

Congrats again, that label is a tough one.

Which labels did you pick up? I tried on the Luckman last night but I was the underbidder.

They are extremely tough! One of the ones I have is part of an uncut strip of labels so am still looking for an individual example of one of them (Johnny Lujack) as I refuse to cut something like that up into pieces.

Is there glue on the back of the strip? I always felt those strips were part of the bigger advertisement that was cut up.

1963 Fleer #63 Fred Williamson "books" for $15 in NM. This ebay win was $11.50 + $3 shipping, but this seems to be about what the cheapest cards are selling for. I placed a snipe of $19.77 as I am getting tired of seeing this card on my list lol! In hand I thought the card might be trimmed, it measures like the other cards in my set, but the picture has a slight tilt to it (like I care about that lol). Nicknamed "The Hammer".
Just need five more of these little devils to complete my set, and I'll have another card to report on when it arrives.
Larry

Fun day at the mailbox with the arrival of 31 additions to my 1965 Philadelphia set! Many of these were commons, but I did get the Hornung and a really colorful checklist. I also included a couple of scans of Giants players. I am finding the Giants cards to be really eye-catching. I realize this isn't considered a "major" set, but I am as happy with this project as anything I have collected in quite a while. Considering that I have been really unfocused over the course of my collecting life, it is rewarding to get on a project and stick with it. This will be fun to finish.

Love the '65 Philly, I love the photography on many of those. Good luck with the set as you move forward.
