1949 BOWMAN (1st series sheet)
In some regions of the country the 1st series of BOWMAN cards in 1949 (circa..April-May) comprised of 36 subjects. In other regions, 72 subjects were available.
As a kid growing up in Hillside, NJ in our neighborhood all 72 were available. On display here are cards #1 -3, 73, 5 - 36.    .  BOWMAN printed 7 sheets (36-cards each) to produce this set of 240 cards. The first 6 sheets have been discovered. I don't know of anyone who has (or has seen) the 7th sheet. If anyone on this forum has seen, or even has a 7th sheet (cards #217 - 240, plus 12 variations) please post it here.
