Picked up this letter signed by former NL President John Heydler. In it he talks about the NL proposing the DH.
“At one of our final League meetings held at the old Waldorf — it must’ve been 8 to 10 years ago — the League passed unanimously a recommendation to the Rules Committee, allowing a pinch hitter for the pitcher.” The story behind the NL's ill-fated proposal can be found by clicking here. The CooperstownExpert.com site has autographs of all but three HoFers who debuted in the Major Leagues since 1900. Hope you enjoy it. JS |

I love it Marty.
I am currently in the same mindset regarding displaying items. Looks great. I'll try to post some pics in this thread before the end of January. Also, that Chief Meyers Pirate mis-cut??!!?? Wow! Turner, that Cobb belongs in your collection...nice! Last edited by Tyler; 01-16-2018 at 04:20 PM. |

Yeah, I agree with Tyler. That looks great, Marty.
I particularly like that the notebook cover and M101-2 share the same image, except that they removed Bugs Raymond and kept the rest of the picture in tact. Cheers, Richard. |
