Here is an 1866 cabinet which features an image of Chadwick in the front row. I think the Woodcut is accurate. I think the Heritage identification might need some explanation. Perhaps Mark Fimoff could opine.

Could the cabinet photo be a later print of an earlier photograph? If not, he looks pretty good for being close to 70.

Here is an image of Chadwick from 1873. This image comes from the book “The Father of Baseball-A Biography of Henry Chadwick”. It was originally sourced from the HOF. The man in this image appears younger than the 1890 Heritage image. It pays to do your homework.

No question that the one in the Heritage photo is Chadwick. Below is a woodcut from an 1880 NY Clipper (identifying Chadwick). It's the same photo as the one shown in the Heritage auction.
