Original gangster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original gangster or original gangsta (OG) may refer to an individual (regardless of criminal affiliation) who represents ideals the speaker sees as gangster and generally "tough" or "hood" in behavior, looks, or both as well as a connection to the past or being older: commonly used as a sign of respect.

I forgot all about Stephen until this thread was mentioned in another thread this morning. I actually still have the red Cobb. No regrets!

His posts on the memorabilia side are beyond hilarious. He regularly bought extremely obvious fake items from eBay for pennies on the dollar if real. Then when everyone would tell him they are fake he would call the eBay sellers scammers and return the extremely obvious fake items.

I heard he hit it big doing card breaks.

I think only Adam Moraine was more entertaining. I don't know if Stephen hit it big with his set breaks, but I remember he left here after doing a 1964 Topps set break and trying to screw over another member here on the Mantle.

Would you consider trading it for some vintage? This thread has motivated me to try to get a 52 Mantle. I'm serious! Please pm me if you are open to a trade. I've got a ton of good stuff.

EDIT: I also enjoyed this thread! Great idea Stephen!

It was fun looking through this thread, partly to see some old names/users we haven’t heard from in a long time, and partly because of an absence of new names/users who seem to dominate almost every thread in the past 1-2 years. Also, it’s fun to read any thread with Mize in it- man did that guy stir things up.

+1
I miss Kevin and his antagonistic ways, we need more villains like him here to keep us smiling. I remember entering a negotiation with him regarding a raw 56 Koufax which he swore was pack fresh 1 owner and suffering the Mize effect when I passed.

Humorously it would have been a good investment at the time.

He was notorious enough to solicit the term "you've been Mized" for a time on this sub.
