Most Mantle collectors will recognize this shot with him sliding into third base with Brooks Robinson...I've even seen signed examples over the years with Brooks adding the inscription "Out" and Mantle adding "Safe."
This 8x10 was the first autograph I ever paid for at a show in Valley Forge in 1984 and I believe Mantle's signature was like $10 (I later added Brooks at a car dealership).. Anyways, I picked up this Wire Photo (sans the watermark) off eBay a few years ago taken a second or two afterwards and now it can be confirmed that the Mick was indeed safe.
