I'm not working on this particular set, but I LOVE checking this thread and seeing everyone else's progress. Keep up the good work, you guys! Some very cool autos.

My favorite player growing up came through for me again this year! I got the base card signed last year and sent one again as well as the all star card for my set. A great surprise/success.

This is a great thread. I am currently working on this set and I am 449/792. I am averaging about $4 a card right now. I have just started to do TTM for a lot of the players.
However, I did end up with a Ricky Wright #202; I am sending it to be authenticated. It was in a lot from a dealer here locally, I didn't even notice it, but I got a lot of 300 Cards for $2.25 per card. When I sorted them out. Ricky Wright was there.... Now we wait to authenticate.

Another two beauties from Donnie baseball this week. I know he only signs TTM around once a year so I have sent a card every month for the last twelve months in hopes of success. I only wish he would have signed my Yankees Team leader card as I still it signed for my set.

Ricky Wright is a tough signer regardless, but I've seen a signed 1983 Fleer and signed 1986 Topps on eBay.
His signed 1983 Fleer is listed at $199.95, and his 1986 Topps is $499.95. So, if you collect either of those sets, you're in luck.

I am a member of a facebook group called "Baseball Private Signings" and someone is talking about being close on getting Ricky Wright to do a private signing that supposedly includes any card. The early discussion has prices in the Dr. Mike Marshall range, but seems to be a lot of interest. Some of those 87T set collectors are real hardcore. At least Marshall had some longevity and accolades. Wright really did nothing in his brief career, but to each their own!
Anyway, if you need/want Wright, it might be worth joining the group and watching for it. The person who apparently is negotiating this possible appears to be a member and said details would be posted there if it happens. I joined the group in hopes of seeing some cheaper, somewhat obscure guys I wouldn't mind having. Aside from buying a couple Jose Pena cards that were leftovers from a prior signing I had missed, I have never participated in any of the signings. I am simply a regular member, have no affiliation with the group or ties to any members. I am just sharing information that others might find useful. I have a few Wrights on other items (ball, team sheet and 83 F) and being a Dodgers collector, I have 0 interest in a 1987 Topps signed by him, especially at $150-200!! I hope the guy lines it up though, sounds like it could be interesting.
