Last month, I purchased this card for my 1974 Topps set. It arrived, and it was a good 1/8" short. Now, I pride myself on being able to determine between a factory cut and a card that's been trimmed. I consider that my area of expertise. This card was definitely trimmed. But it was only a couple of bucks, so I just chalked it up as a loss. I hated to accuse the seller of anything because you never know what happened. Heck, they could have obtained it that way as part of a purchase. Either way, I put them on my "do not buy from" list. Ebay ID is debzsales https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-TOPPS-...72.m2749.l2649 What are the odds of receiving two of the exact same cards from different sellers, both trimmed 1/8" short? So I checked out each seller a bit more and I've come to the conclusion that they are the same seller. Geographically, they're just a few miles apart and their listings are almost identical. Anyway, if you're looking for raw cards to build your sets, you might want to stay away from these two. Last edited by vintagetoppsguy; 03-22-2018 at 06:53 PM. |
