And here I was up worrying about getting these. You must of been on pins and needles waiting for the auction to close. I have to say, though, I am glad to have got these at the final hammer price. I think $300 for the Lobert was a steal, and Howe, well how can you go wrong with that beauty? I teased my wife constantly when she was pregnant that I was going to name our son Gordie while she was in recovery. Needless to say, I didn't, as I am still alive to recount that story.

I've heard of guys spending their pension and/or 401(k) money on a boat, but never on a baseball card. Nice pick-up. Congrats! If I bought that card, I'd have to live on ramen noodles for the rest of my life.

NK. And the generic kind too.

Nice Plank Ryan.

After that, I'm sheepishly showing my win that hung on. Not pre-war baseball, but a winning anyhow.

Over the years I've only won a couple of items from MH, but I will tell you that my bid for the Clancy exceeded the final price. Given the shilling that we rightfully complain about, I want to call out honesty and integrity.

Ed, that is a great looking T216. Total steal at $300.

Default Awesome

Mile High had some incredible cards that I was under stealth watch.
I was outbid on the OBAK lot that I really wanted. How’s this for a lame excuse, I got lasix eye surgery yesterday and had to have my eyes closed during the evening...even during the long morning. Not being able to see the website saved me from bidding! I would have tried another bump or two, maybe. They weren’t inexpensive...

Congrats on a true iconic card, Ryan!

Even before my surgery, I couldn’t see spending that much on a card, even if it is one of the greatest of all time!

Ryan, congrats and omygosh! I'm looking forward to seeing this beauty up close at the mid-Atlantic get together you are hosting on April 28th.

I absolutely had to win this E101 Jennings in Mile High to replace this badly-creased E101, which is currently the worst-looking card in my back run of this Jennings pose (sorry for not knowing how to size these cards better):
