Would be nice if we make a monthly sticky post. With top 3 pickups of the year as part of the sticky. The Ty Cobb back and Mr. Plank would be #1 and 2...

Jeez, and its only March....

Thanks everyone. I am beyond excited. I have been after one of these for about a year now; I have been the underbidder on almost every Plank at auction since middle-2017 (always the bridesmaid...), and have been unsuccessful in a few private deals. But everything works out for the best, because, in my opinion, this Plank is a remarkable specimen and was worth the wait. Attached is a picture of the back. The stain up top is from a sticky hinge that used to hold the card to an album. IMO it does not detract from the back, and, really we are buying the Plank for the front/picture, right? I also like it because I know its history - it was owned by Brian Goldner for the past 28 years (JujuDrum on this forum) and Barry Halper before that. God willing, this card will not see another owner for many decades.

As an aside, I love that I can share this here -- my wife and friends either think I have a screw loose or they dont care....

Might as well just not post any new pickups and wait till April...going to be hard to top that. Congrats, that is my #1 favorite T206

That’s what we are here for! And that’s got to be one of the nicest Planks going. Really well done!

Kinda hard to compete with Mr. Plank and others but here is a nice looking card for the set.

Picked this one up from the same Net54 member as the Coupon that I posted earlier this month.

It finished off my Scoops Carey SGC T206/T213 run.

Been a pretty long search but found a 1934 Gehrig #37 that I liked. Sneaky tough card.

I am a good judge of vintage cards, and those are nice looking examples of Ruth and Gehrig.

I am not a good judge of the thing shown in the middle...what in the fadoodle is that?
