Now, 1968, and yes, the one on the left is still sealed.

Wow, love the Tony Oliva/Clemente combo (Tony Oliva is another favorite of mine)

Day 84

This next item once belonged to Lou Boudreau. It is signed to Lou by Paul New, who was the vocalist and also the composer (?). Purchased directly from Lou's son.

Day 85

This record is scarce compared to the one I posted yesterday. It is the Spanish version and it is the only copy that I have personally seen.

My answer would be a disappointing one, but I'm inclined to think the Clemente in the program is not Roberto. From what I can piece together, Roberto was not "discovered" by Santurce until after the 1951-52 season.

I guess my second guess would be that the program has the wrong year on it!

Howard,

That was my thinking, that maybe the wrong date was written on the program.

Day 86

It took me a while to obtain this next photo. The thing that surprised me the most when in hand was the size of the photo. I always assumed it was a smaller photo, but it actually is relatively large. The scan is pretty accurate for size (photo might actually be slightly larger). This might be my favorite team issued photo of Roberto.
